John stared apprehensively at his watch and then the door and back at his watch. Any moment Keith would burst through the door. He cringed this but as well anticipated Keith's coming. He did invite him over on business matters, so he couldn't groan much. Washing up a knock on the door that could very well have knocked it off the hinges emitted from the living room. John looked into his bathroom mirror and forced a cheeky grin before stepping out to answer the door.
"John open the bleedin door!!!" a voice yelled as the pounding grew harder and more frequent.
It was Keith indeed. John straightened the collar of his sweater and slowly turned
There Must be a solution
Although I cannot find one
As it came and went
it fleeted so fast that it sped from my lips and yours
When left it is a gap of silence
My fingers figet at my lenses
As we pretend ones not there
But when the lights turn on our faces illuminate to see one
But shrouded in darkness we never know
What the spoken word will do
Through the window a tv fell
It fell straight down to the ground
And then I heard a cherry bomb echo in the halls all around
And did you hear the snicker
When the waterbed had burst
The plumbing has been dismantled
The foam has filled the room
The walls have been coming down and its only noon
This must be the work of a prankster
His mouth curled in a grin
His sweetness that radiates
Is what I will always remember
I was ecstatic about Keith's proposal and I happily agreed to be his wife. He mused to me that night after he had slipped the diamond onto my finger
"Your my Misses Moon now, my dear. And no one can take you from me."
I raised my brow and joked
"Well better be watching old Rog, he's back in town y'know"
Keith's eyes widened and exclaimed
"Rog? The man is back finally." The joke didn't seem to set in and fly over his head quickly as he sat preoccupied with the thoughts of Roger's return.
Rising up I went to Keith and said
"And he says he knows the bird you have been over the moon about, that's kept you beaming through the tour."
He chuckled
It was two months after Veronica reunited Keith and I did we really start heavily seeing each other. Every weekend he would phone me and ask if I would be interested in going somewhere. Naturally I said yes. It was mostly times spent at his flat and they were wonderful times too. He'd have a fire going since he had a fire place in his living room and we'd sit by it and just talk as we drank tea he had gotten off from the kettle. At times he tried to make me smile bringing it out of me often times by making himself a total idiot. I remember the night when everything changed and my heart softened a bit more for him. I never really dance. To think to myself I actually haven't danced at all. Parties make me cringe. At the any open chance of somebody remotely wanting to dance with me I will have to turn them down. Its really nothing against them its really just I don't have the heart to dance. However at a party at my friends house in 1966 that was when I met someone that would change my outlooks for good.
The day of the party Veronica had phoned me as I was about to cancel my attendance.
"I'm Sorry love I can't go, you know me."
Veronica's voice sounded persistent on the other end.
"Come now its all the same gang that's going to be there." She paused "
